PRIVACY POLICY
Effective Date: 9 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how inferencedirect.com (the "Platform"), operated by Seamless Ventures Pty Ltd (ACN 616 157 236) as trustee for the Seamless Ventures Trust ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), handles personal information when you use our API proxy aggregation services. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles ("APPs").
1. PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT
To provide our routing services, we collect:
- Account Information: Email addresses, registration names, billing addresses, and payment transaction metadata processed via our third-party payment gateway (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers; card processing is handled by our gateway.
- Operational Telemetry / Log Data: To track prepaid token consumption and prevent abuse, our server nodes log basic transmission details, including request timestamps, model flags, traffic volume, connection latencies, and user IP addresses. IP addresses and similar identifiers may constitute personal information under Australian law and are treated accordingly.
We collect personal information directly from you when you register, top up your balance, or use the service, and automatically through your use of the Platform.
2. WHY WE COLLECT AND USE PERSONAL INFORMATION
We use personal information to: provide and operate the routing service; meter usage and bill your prepaid balance; provide support; maintain security and prevent fraud or abuse; comply with our legal obligations; and communicate service and account information to you. We will only use personal information for a purpose you would reasonably expect, a purpose disclosed in this policy, or as otherwise permitted or required by law.
3. DATA FLOW AND PROMPT HANDLING
- Proxy Streaming: When your application sends text, code, or images ("Inputs/Prompts") through our API, our servers act as a data pipe. We transmit this data to the third-party model network ("Upstream Provider") your application selects, and stream the response ("Completions") back to you.
- No Cache Retention by Default: By default, the contents of your Prompts and Completions are processed in memory only. We do not write your prompt or completion content to permanent storage, and do not retain historical text logs, unless you explicitly enable logging tools in your developer settings for debugging.
- No AI Training Use: We do not use your Prompts or Completions to train our own machine-learning systems, proprietary models, or data scrapers.
4. DISCLOSURE TO THIRD PARTIES AND OVERSEAS RECIPIENTS
- Upstream Providers: To complete your requests, your Inputs must be disclosed to the specific independent Upstream Provider your application selects. These organisations operate outside our corporate control and handle data under their own privacy policies. We strongly recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any Upstream Provider before sending sensitive information through the proxy.
- Overseas Disclosure (APP 8): Many Upstream Providers, and some of our service providers (such as cloud hosting and payment processing), are located outside Australia — commonly in the United States, and potentially in the European Union, United Kingdom, and other countries, depending on the provider you select and our infrastructure. By using the Platform and selecting an Upstream Provider, you acknowledge that your data will be disclosed to recipients in those overseas locations. Because you choose the Upstream Provider and the destination of your Inputs, the handling of that data by the Upstream Provider is governed by their policies and the laws of their jurisdiction, which may differ from Australian law.
- Other Disclosures: We may disclose personal information to payment processors, IT and security service providers, professional advisers, and to authorities or other parties where required or authorised by law.
5. DATA SECURITY AND RETENTION
- Encryption in Transit: Information moving between your applications, our proxy nodes, and upstream networks is encrypted in transit using industry-standard Transport Layer Security (TLS/HTTPS).
- Retention Periods: We retain account information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, tax, accounting, and fraud-prevention obligations. Operational telemetry/log data (including IP addresses) is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for billing, security, and abuse-prevention purposes, after which it is deleted or de-identified. Prompt and completion content is not retained except where you have enabled debugging logs.
- Notifiable Data Breaches: If an eligible data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm, we will assess and respond in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), including notifying affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner ("OAIC") where required.
- Fraud Investigation: In cases of serious breach — such as suspected banking fraud or a forced payment dispute — we may access and disclose system telemetry (timestamps, volume counts, and IP addresses) to payment gateways and banking authorities to verify usage and defend claims.
6. ACCESS, CORRECTION AND DELETION
- Access and Correction (APP 12 & 13): You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date, or incomplete. Email [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable period and may need to verify your identity first. We will not charge an excessive fee for access.
- Deletion: You may request closure of your account and deletion of your registration details. We will action this subject to any information we are required or permitted to retain by law (for example, billing and fraud records).
7. DIRECT MARKETING
If we send you marketing communications, we will give you a simple way to opt out, and we will stop on request. We will not use sensitive information for direct marketing without your consent.
8. COMPLAINTS
If you believe we have breached the APPs or mishandled your personal information, please contact us at [email protected] with details of your concern. We will acknowledge your complaint and aim to respond within a reasonable time (generally within 30 days). If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner:
- Website: oaic.gov.au
- Phone: 1300 363 992
9. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will always be available on the Platform, and material changes will be notified by reasonable means (for example, email or a dashboard notice). The "Effective Date" above shows when the policy was last updated.
